Name: Edwin Henry Bones
Birthday: April 24, 1959
House: Hufflepuff

Physical Appearance:
Edwin is tall and has an athletic build. He has dark hair that is normally long and messy. His grandmother is always after him to tame it, but he likes the way it looks. He thinks it drives the girls crazy. Edwin is generally a very happy person and it shows. His family and friends are always surprised when he does not look like he’s in a good mood.
Biography:
Edwin was born into a Pureblood family that can be traced back many generations. His father, Edgar, is a prominent Ministry official while his mother, Gabrielle, is an artist who works at home. Edwin’s childhood was very happy and uneventful. His parents were loving and supportive. He almost always got along with his younger sister, Sylvia (currently a fourth year Hufflepuff). He had a comfortable home where all his basic needs were taken care of. Edwin wasn’t a particularly spoiled child, but he was given everything he truly needed or, sometimes, wanted.
Before starting at Hogwarts, Edwin and Sylvia were taught at home by their mother. Their mother taught them the basics (reading, writing, math) as well as some more domestic tasks. Edwin’s friends often laugh about the fact that he can sew and cook as well as his mother. This used to bother him, but now he’s learned how to turn the jokes around so that he’s in on them.
When he was eleven, Edwin was given a choice. He could either go to his father’s alma mater (Hogwarts) or his mother’s (Beauxbatons). It wasn’t a hard decision for him to make, but Edwin pretended to think about it for days so his mother’s feelings wouldn’t be hurt. To his mother’s disappointment, Sylvia joined Edwin at Hogwarts during his third year. Edwin has often heard his mother say her children only went to Hogwarts because she failed to teach them to speak French fluently.
Edwin has always done well in his classes at Hogwarts, but his relatives like to point out that he hasn’t inherited his father’s work ethic. When given the choice, Edwin almost always chooses to chat with his friends instead of work ahead in his studies. In his opinion, it’s better to laugh and have fun than to worry about the future.
Likes: Girls and Quidditch – not always in that order. His family, his friends, his house.
Dislikes: Homework, mean people, “blood discrimination,” the Dark Arts.
Extracurricular Activities:
Edwin was made a Prefect in his fifth year. He is also a member of the Herbology Club and the Keeper for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team.
Romantic history:
Edwin has dated his share of girls. Contrary to what he might have you think, he has never had a serious relationship though. In fact, he has never had a relationship that lasted more than a month. He’s not a player, exactly. He’s actually very sweet when you get to know him. Things just never work out for him. Either the girl catches him looking at someone else or he catches her flirting with another boy or they just get bored of each other or.. You get the picture.
What was your character’s status before Dumbledore’s spell?
He had been dead for a long time. A group of Death Eaters killed him, along with his parents and Sylvia.
Current Students: What does your character want to accomplish this year?
Edwin wants to make the most of his time at Hogwarts. He knows he should be concerned about his future, but he really hasn’t started worrying about it yet. For now, he’s just focusing on passing his classes, doing his best in Quidditch, and having fun with his friends.
